We are a bistro style restaurant brought to you from local gal, Merrilee Paul & her husband David Ross that features the best of the area's resources. Relying on local farms, fisheries and a commitment to the community, 50 Local is downtown Kennebunk's neighborhood establishment. 50 Local presents an outstanding, approachable menu containing many of the traditional dishes offered in French Bistros with an American take, served in a comfortable, elegant, & friendly atmosphere.

Private and group cooking classes are available with 50 Local Chef David Ross. Classes can be customized and catered to your interests and dietary needs or restrictions. Special courses can include: foraging for your own food and learning to create a meal with the ingredients, vegetarian or vegan dishes, pastry and desserts, Asian street food, local Maine favorites and more.

2 Chefs & A Forager

2 Chefs and a Forager is the new monthly dinner series introduced by 50 Local Chef David Ross. Each month Chef will create a multiple course meal with a guest chef using local and seasonal ingredients from local and nationally lauded forager, Jenna Darcy.

The opening night of the series is on October 14th during normal business hours and will feature a 4 course meal created by Chef David Ross and critically acclaimed Chef Jason Bond of Bondir, a sustainably minded modern American cuisine restaurant in Cambridge, MA.  

$65 per guest or $85 with the wine and beer pairing hand selected by the two chefs.

$2 Tapas Tuesdays

Every Tuesday in addition to our regular menu, Chef David creates a $2 Tapas menu.  He creates a new menu every week featuring 4 - 7 items.  Old favorites have included:  fish tacos, arancini. oyster sliders, poutine, bone marrow, and seasonal bruschetta.  We are doing are darnedest to make Tuesdays "cheap & cheerful"!
