Private and group cooking classes are available with 50 Local Chef David Ross. Classes can be customized and catered to your interests and dietary needs or restrictions. Special courses can include: foraging for your own food and learning to create a meal with the ingredients, vegetarian or vegan dishes, pastry and desserts, Asian street food, local Maine favorites and more.

Guest Chef Dinner

Our Guest Chef Dinners are a new dinner series introduced by 50 Local Chef David Ross. For each event, Chef will create a multiple course meal in collaboration with a guest chef, using local and seasonal ingredients.

The opener of the series was on October 14th, featuring a 4 course meal created by Chef David Ross and critically acclaimed Chef Jason Bond of Bondir (a sustainably minded modern American cuisine restaurant in Cambridge, MA).  It was an amazing night - we all had so much fun. Thank you to everyone who attended!

Our next dinner will be with Andy Husbands of Tremont 647. We are really looking forward to working with Andy, and we will update this page as soon as a date has been set!

The menu for the Tremont 647/50 Local collaboration will be a multi course prix fixe and can be paired with our house selected cocktails & wines.  The menu for the evening will be as follows:

$2 Tapas Tuesdays

Every Tuesday in addition to our regular menu, Chef David creates a $2 Tapas menu.  He creates a new menu every week featuring 4 - 7 items.  Old favorites have included:  fish tacos, arancini. oyster sliders, poutine, bone marrow, and seasonal bruschetta.  We are doing are darndest to make Tuesdays "cheap & cheerful"!
