We are a bistro style restaurant brought to you by local gal Merrilee Paul that features the best of the area's resources. Relying on local farms, fisheries and a commitment to the community, 50 Local is downtown Kennebunk's neighborhood establishment. 50 Local presents an outstanding, approachable menu containing many of the traditional dishes offered in French bistros with an American take, served in a comfortable, elegant, & friendly atmosphere.
Executive Chef Tyler Laroche manages our locally sourced kitchen changing up the menu daily. Chef Tyler is a young, eager Chef with a passion for local foods. He has well established relationships with our local farmers and continues to educate himself on current food trends. He finds inspiration cooking for his young daughter, Bayleigh, who loves her Dad’s homemade sausages.

For groups of up to 12 guests, we have one large table available in our main dining room that can be booked directly through Resy.
For groups of up to 18 guests, our private dining room may be booked directly through Resy, when available. A room fee applies.

Book our newly designed private dining room, The Elective, for groups of up to 42 guests seated or up to 70 guests for a reception-style event. Perfect for rehearsal dinners, celebrations, corporate gatherings, welcome parties, and other private events.

NOW OPEN in downtown Kennebunk….
The Elective is the brain child of partners: Matthew Garofalo, Tyler Laroche, & Merrilee Paul. Located at 58 Main St in downtown Kennebunk adjacent to 50 Local, the Elective aims to give locals & visitors alike another reason to visit quaint Kennebunk. The is a space to flex our culinary creativity while providing a hands on cooking & cocktail experience. Classes will run weekly and are available for private groups as well. The dining room can be rented for private parties. The newly renovated space showcases a ceramic bar, upholstered banquettes, spanning windows overlooking downtown Kennebunk, and a fresh style curated by local designer, Nicki Bongiorno.
